Planning a trip with kids is an absolute delight, whether you’re wrangling energetic #toddlers or navigating the rollercoaster of #teenage years! It’s an adventure to find a destination that caters to the whims and wonders of all ages. And what better place than the vibrant city-state of Singapore?
BTW, this trip was the reason I started my health journey too… more about this later.
Knowing that, there would be plenty of exciting activities for the kids, we started the day with high spirits. We visited the incredible S.E.A Aquarium on Sentosa Island, and it truly exceeded our expectations! Both my kids & us were mesmerized by the vast array of marine life, from vibrant fishes to fascinating sea creatures.
After the aquarium, we spent the entire evening exploring the island’s breathtaking beachfront. The highlight, however, was the Mega Adventure Park, where we indulged in the thrilling ziplining experience. Soaring 450 meters above the beach, it was an adrenaline-pumping adventure that left us exhilarated!
After an action-packed day, we savored a delightful beachside dinner before returning to our hotel, eagerly anticipating the adventures that awaited us on Day 2.
Singapore truly knows how to ignite the spark of joy in every traveler’s heart!
We were buzzing with excitement after all the hype, and let me tell you, we were not disappointed! Snagging those express passes was a game-changer – talk about skipping the lines and diving straight into the fun!
From the moment we stepped in, it was like we’d been transported to a magical realm where we could be kids again. The energy was electric, and we knew exactly where to dash off to first. That Transformer ride? I was screaming my lungs out, having the time of my life! Sure, I might have embarrassed my son a teensy bit (okay, a lot), but hey, that’s what parents are for, right?
You have to check out the must-ride attractions: Battlestar Galactica: HUMAN & CYLON (mind-blowing!), Revenge of the Mummy (spine-tingling thrills!), Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure (prepare to get soaked!), and Puss In Boots’ Giant Journey (adorable and exciting!). We conquered them all together, and each one was a total blast!
The attention to detail in the park’s themes is out of this world! Every corner you turn, there’s something new and amazing to discover. It’s like they’ve thought of everything to make sure everyone – and I mean everyone – has the time of their lives.
What an unforgettable, adrenaline-pumping, joy-filled day! actions ensure that there is something for everyone.
After two hectic days, we thought we’d take it a little easier. We had a relaxed start to the day and then headed towards the #ArtScience Museum. This museum was as if it was straight out of a dream – an incredible lotus-inspired building. As if Moshe Safdie plucked a flower from the heavens and turned it into architecture! And the art inside? It’s beyond anything I could have ever imagined!
The interactive elements were magical! Becoming part of the artwork? That’s not just viewing art, that’s living it! We were in awe of how technology can transform a simple drawing into a moving masterpiece on the walls. It’s like stepping into a world where imagination comes to life!
And just when you thought the day couldn’t get any more spectacular, we stumbled upon the Singapore Day rehearsal! Talk about being in the right place at the right time – it’s as if the universe conspired to give us the most extraordinary day possible!
This day we planned for Singapore Zoo and my little one just had an amazing time exploring.
Zoo is renowned for its open-concept enclosures and interactive experiences, making it one of the best places to explore wildlife. Here are some top things to do at Singapore Zoo: Wild Africa, Frozen Tundra, Primate Kingdom, Fragile Forest, Reptile Garden
The zoo hosts several entertaining and educational animal shows: Splash Safari, Animal Friends Show, and Rainforest Fights Back.
Also, explored Wonders of the Rivers… didn’t find it that interesting as we had already seen a lot of animals for a day. 🙂
With all this adventure, we were fully exhausted by the end of the day … booked a cab back to the hotel, had dinner from the hotel’s 24×7 menu, and dozed off to bed.
After exploring all the tourist attractions, we decided to take that local wali feeling and feel how a developed self-sufficient city feels like.. & just decided to explore the place by walking around.
We started at our hotel and walked to Chinatown, which wasn’t that far. We explored temples like – Sri Mariamman Temple, Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, Thian Hock Keng Temple. En route to Singapore Merlion, we passed through Boat Quay, the Asian Civilization Museum, and several aesthetic bridges before reaching the Singapore Merlion. The walking area around the bays was on another level. Every corner was a photo opportunity with its stunning beauty.
By the evening, we roamed around, ate good food, and enjoyed ourselves, eventually making our way to the Singapore Flyer. The experience of entering the flyer was fantastic. Stepping in, we were greeted with a breathtaking view of Singapore’s beautiful city lights, skylines, and buildings. It was an altogether amazing experience.
After that experience, we still hadn’t had enough of the magnificent view of Marina Bay Sands and the bay area. We had dinner at Esplanade Mall, which had this great view. I think we spent almost an hour or more just strolling around, fully relaxed (even though we had been walking the entire day) and enjoying the view
The Gardens by the Bay in Singapore is already a wonderful place, but when combined with the AVATAR experience, it become a journey to another world. This unique blend of nature and cinematic magic offered an adventure like no other, bringing the world of Pandora to life in the heart of the city.
Stepping into the AVATAR experience, I was immediately transported to the mystical world of Pandora. The immersive environment, complete with stunning visual and sound effects, made it feel like I had walked straight into the movie. The attention to detail was astonishing, from the glowing flora to the alien landscapes.
Walking through the bioluminescent forest during the AVATAR experience was surreal. It felt like exploring the enchanting forests of Pandora—a perfect blend of technology and nature.
Visit to Gardens by the Bay and the AVATAR experience was nothing short of magical. It reminded me of the incredible power of nature and the limitless possibilities of imagination.
This trip was nothing short of extraordinary, a vibrant blend of culture, innovation, and natural beauty that left us in awe at every turn. From the bustling streets of Chinatown to the serene landscapes of Gardens by the Bay, every moment was a delightful surprise. The highlight, of course, was the AVATAR experience at Gardens by the Bay & Universal Studios.
Singapore proved to be a destination that captivates the heart and stimulates the mind.
We did miss quite a lot – kuch to reh hi jayega... like Naina said .
